Guardian Maintenance Team Members with Thank You for 2024 Maintenance Appreciation Week

Guardian Maintenance Appreciation Week

In honor of Maintenance Appreciation Week, we celebrate all of our Guardian maintenance team members and the hard work they do each day.

Our maintenance teams are the heart of our communities, tirelessly ensuring that each home is well-maintained and comfortable. This week is an opportunity to shine a light on their incredible contributions and express our gratitude for their hard work.

Thank you to Kerrie, Mark, Kevin, Rebecca, and Paul for sharing with us, as well as every member of our Guardian maintenance team for their continuous efforts to maintain beautiful and safe communities.

At Gateway Terrace, Maintenance Technician Paul Balsoma plays a vital role in the community, recognized for his strong work ethic and commitment to resident satisfaction. From keeping the grounds immaculate to quickly addressing maintenance requests, Paul’s efforts have a lasting impact. “Paul does an outstanding job,” says Community Manager Rebecca Seid. “Residents love his positive attitude, and he consistently earns 5-star reviews for his work.”

For Paul, the praise he receives from residents is the most rewarding part of his job. “When tenants tell me I’m doing a great job, it makes all my hard work worthwhile,” he shares. His dedication is evident in everything he does, from fixing flickering lights to preparing apartments to be move-in ready.

Rebecca also values Paul’s reliability and teamwork, especially during the ongoing exterior remodel. “He supports our vendors and takes care of resident needs when I’m unavailable,” she explains, highlighting his importance to the community’s operations.

Paul’s focus on safety and attention to detail are critical to maintaining a comfortable living environment. “I make sure the grounds are clean every day, sidewalks are free of trip hazards, and trash areas are tidy,” he explains. Beyond these daily tasks, Paul also puts significant effort into behind-the-scenes work like apartment turnovers, ensuring each new resident is greeted with a space that feels like home.

Rebecca sums it up best: “A reliable, skilled maintenance tech is crucial to helping the property achieve its goals and deliver great service. Paul is a big part of creating that WOW factor for our residents.”

Mark Taddicken Jr. at Fairhaven Gardens

Kerrie Jones and Mark Taddicken Jr., Fairhaven Gardens

Kerrie Jones, the community manager at Fairhaven Gardens, is deeply appreciative of Maintenance Technician Mark Taddicken Jr. and the positive impact he has on the community every day. Describing him as “the best technician I’ve ever worked with,” she values his swift response to maintenance requests and his ability to tackle tasks that other properties might need to outsource. Mark’s efficiency not only enhances the resident experience but also helps streamline operations and reduce turnaround times, helping to improve resident experience.

Mark doesn’t just solve problems; he goes above and beyond. Whether it’s managing major plumbing issues or finding creative and cost-effective solutions, his expertise is invaluable. Kerrie appreciates his collaborative approach, saying, “He’s a self-starter who explains complex issues clearly. I trust him completely.”

Mark, who was recently awarded Maintenance Tech of the Year, humbly acknowledges that most of the work maintenance staff does is behind the scenes. “We enjoy what we do, even if it goes unnoticed,” he says.

During this Maintenance Appreciation Week, Kerrie sums it up best with her message to all maintenance teams, “Thank you for being here. Your work makes all the difference in the lives of our residents and our team. We couldn’t do this without you.”

To all our maintenance team members: Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and all that you do to keep your communities beautiful, functional, and welcoming. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and are deeply appreciated by both residents and team members alike.

Happy Maintenance Appreciation Week!
